Connecting Christians Businesses,
Person to Person
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:5-6 NIV
Christian Business Network is
Connecting Christians in the Workplace.
Christian life is relationships—to Christ and to the people we meet. Christian Business Network roundtables and events provide you with opportunities:
- to build meaningful connections with other Christians and Kingdom businesses and
- to develop your abilities as a Godly worker.
We can lift each other up—as Christian friends and as prayer partners for each others’ businesses.
We can transform our workplace by learning how to become Kingdom businesses, by duplicating what we hear in members’ testimonials, and by finding our Marketplace Coalitions (ways God has for us to partner with other Kingdom businesses and ministries.)
Our team roundtables are exciting, fruitful, and blessed with the fellowship of our being co-laborers to transform our world for Christ.
What a wonderful way to develop as a successful Christian business person!
Come find the divine connection God has for you!

Forming New CBN Teams
When a CBN team forms, that team’s directors choose the following for their team:
-
location
-
meeting day
-
how often each month that team will meet
-
whether they will meet at breakfast time or noontime, and
-
what food arrangements are made for the meeting.
Our vision is to have four to six CBN Teams in the Austin area, and spread throughout Texas and the USA.

Each CBN roundtable provides attendees opportunities to connect with Kingdom activity in the workplace by connecting through:
-
praying to our Lord Jesus Christ,
-
hearing about area Christian events,
-
getting to know attendees, their work and ministry,
-
becoming energized by hearing what the attendees are seeing God doing in their workplace, and
-
learning of marketplace ministry resources.
- At each lunchtime roundtable, the first 15 minutes provide individual networking time for those on tight schedules. For meetings at which we provide meals, we ask that those ordering meals arrive at 11:30 to get their meal and be seated by 11:45.
-
There are two meeting formats:
-
Breakfast meetings start with 30 minutes of networking; lunch meetings start with 15 minutes of networking and provide time for free networking afterward.
-
The roundtable segment of both meeting formats lasts one hour.
-
We start each meeting with prayer and with a scripture upon which CBN purposes are based.
-
We pass around a book containing cards of CBN members.
-
We announce and pass around info about citywide Christian events, with more detail about those sponsored by CBN or CBN members. (Get approval from team leadership if you want to announce an event at a roundtable.)
-
We invite the Lord to join us as we open our time of sharing and prayer requests.
-
INTRODUCTIONS: Each attendee had time a minute or more (depending on number present) to introduce him/herself and his/her business and/or ministry.
-
TESTIMONIALS, PRAISES and PRAYER REQUESTS Each attendee is invited to tell us what God is doing in the workplace and what he/she would like to see God do in his/her workplace.
-
We provide some info about marketplace ministry resources available for attendees.
- DOOR PRIZES We gather entries and draw winners' names. (All attendees are encouraged to bring a door prize if they wish.) At each roundtable, we have at least one door prize and often many more!
-
The team directors close each roundtable with a prayer.
At lunchtime roundtable meetings, time after the closing prayer is available for additional networking..
Prayer Partners:
At Marketplace Lighthouse meetings or whenever designated by each team, we assign a monthly prayer partner for any interested attendees.
